Durametric Coding options manual for 9X7 cars

Hi Folks

I've begun to make a Durametric coding options manual that explains what each coding item is for, primarily for the 9x7 models but a lot of the options will have the same wording for other cars so I hope this finds a wide audience. I was very dismayed at the lack of any explanation to be found for all of these options so decided to start making it myself.

Now, it is a work in progress so I will continue to update the doc posted here BUT I need YOUR help!!

So please download the file, then if you can add information to it or you think something is wrong then either PM me or add a post to this thread or preferably comment on the google docs page. If those with Pro tools could maybe take a handful of yellow boxes and start experimenting.

Items in Yellow in the file are unknown as yet, but other errors may be present. I also need someone who has 4wd and seat weight sensors to fill in the coding sections that are empty - 4wd hasn't been added yet.
I have also added my coding for my car, but don't assume it is necessarily correct.

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...it?usp=sharing

Happy Coding!!

Matt

I have a 04 Cayenne Turbo & Durametric Pro cable. I don't really know how to help, but I would like to if you show me how I can.

Instrument cluster->Nominal Pressure Display (TPM): displays the expected tire pressure for a proper fill under the info->TPC menu in the cluster followed by the difference, disable to only show the difference from expected

Instrument cluster->Factory Setting Navigation (also Key1, Key 2, Key 3): Turn by turn displays by default, enable this to have a navigation option on the display when cycled through with the cluster stalk (trip mileage, dist to empty, navigation, etc on the BC stalk)

Instrument cluster->Key 1/2/3 Limit Function: enables audible warning when over the selected speed, useful for highway cruising when you aren't paying attention to speed limits

Gateway->Steering Wheel Electronics: pretty sure this means the on board computer stalk, perhaps cruise control stalk too

Rear->ATWS, Evaluate...: enable/disable the particular sensor for the alarm, the sensor must be physically present and "installed" in the rear module coding

I wonder what the difference between key limit function and "acoustic speed warning" is??

Not entirely sure. With acoustic speed warning enabled, I get an audible beeping from the cluster when over 75 mph. Not sure how to change the trigger speed though. It seems to be independent of the key limit function, but not positive.

The key limit puts a "over speed" display on the instrument cluster and is controlled by the steering column OBC stalk. You can set the speed to something specific or to the current speed of the vehicle. Not sure if it beeps too, or just the display. Right now I have acoustic off, and can control the key specific limit. But it needs more testing to confirm how they interact with each other. I'm hoping the acoustic setting just enables the audible beeping, and the key limit setting determines if the alarm goes off and the trigger speed.
