I've seen other threads on this....thought I'd post my recent success. After unsuccessfully trying to program my P-car with my new Chamberlain MyQ garage door opener, as well as unable to program my wife's 2011 Lexus GX460, I bought the 855LM Liftmaster Homelink repeater kit.

Installation was a breeze (just plug it in). Both cars programmed immmediately, no hassles!

So, pretty happy with the results, but the homelink on the P-car doesn't have near the range as the original remote that came with the opener. Not near as cool having to pull up to the garage door, stop, push button, wait for the garage door to open, vs. being able to drive in without stopping...as the windshield just clears the door...I may go back to using the original remote. The Lexus' range is much better.

 

Mine opens a good 75yds.away?No problem what so ever.

 

Since the Porsche transmitter is in the front bumper, I actually get better range with my Porsche than with my other cars.

 

I use the repeater kit for my Liftmaster 8500 openers. It works very well and I have excellent range from the 997.

Works with your home network and your phone can open and close the door from anywhere!! If your phone is mounted in your car...just a click on the app and your in to open the door.

Thanks ...I am really interested in this! I have a detached garage so I'm trying to get a wi-fi extender so I can get signal into the garage for the interface unit with the MyQ opener. I can't tell now if I've left my garage door open. This will be great. I'm also going to install one of their MyQ wall switches so I can turn the garage exterior lights on and off with the app.
