2007 C2 Tip Driving Tips?
Just wanted to ask about tips and tricks I should know about and good driving habits.
I know the car takes a few minutes to warm up, I can feel the engine sounds a lot smoother after a few minutes. So would the advise be to stay under 3k revs or 2k?
When turning around, should I wait til the car has completely stopped before putting it into reverse?
I'm slowly getting used the the 'proper' driving, coming from a BMW it feels weird to have so much grip in corners and it stays so flat. But I've heard about that pendulum effect of the 'famous rear engined 911 issue' like a million times so I'm a little bit apprehensive to kick the back out of turns as of yet, but I'm sure it will come.

The rear end stays put a lot harder than you think it will. For regular road driving the 997 is going to give you very little drama.
At the track it's a bit of a different story. Turn-in tends to push (understeer) if you're not trail-braking. The rear end tends to step-out if you're under full load in a corner and you either apply the brakes, or lift if you're on-throttle.

under 3K till warm up is my rule and yes stop forward motion before shifting into reverse is just safer in my mind. I don t think your going to break the car so drive it and don t worry.
There are safety features that will stop the car from going back end around in normal driving or if you push it a little hard. Wasn t in the old 911s which made them famous for what you are referring to. I d save the rear end out tricks for the track.

I myself let the engine warm up until idle drops I then keep it under 3000rpms until temperature rises.Kicking that rear end out is fun but like explained above...you need that type of practice! May I suggest taking a https://www.porschedriving.com/exper...driving-school or something equivalent. You won't regret it and the experience you leave with is beyond words! Always come to a complete stop until shifting into reverse! Enjoy your P-Car!!

Is this the right way? Because I drive off immediately but slowly?
I only remain stationary until the idle drops, then simply drive away and keep it under 3,000 rpm until the engine oil temp comes up (water temp comes up pretty quickly). Once oil temp is up, have some fun!

So can I confirm you let the engine warm up at stationary, i.e. while its parked and then you move off?

Yes I myself wait for the engine rpm to drop when engine is cold.I know other people here on the forum will drive immediately. I don't, but I do keep it under 3000 rpm until temperature raises!
