Newbie to site: Advice on H&R spring install

I'm a mechanically inclined type (but not always DIY) that will be swapping out the stock springs on my 05 C2S for H&R Sport springs. I'm hoping for advice on any extra parts needed to complete the swap.

So far I've got the springs and I also ordered new strut mounts. Should i replace the bearings also with 35K on the car? Shocks? Are there any nuts, bolts, etc that i need to have on hand to complete the job?

I have read a ton of threads over the last few days but I'm honestly getting info overload trying to weed through all the great info on here.

Thanks gentlemen, I'm really happy I found this site.

You can add new grease to the bearings , recomended, and need to do a new aligment.

I replaced all four shocks on my 2009 C2S and found the job difficult. I got through it and the car didn't explode but I did find it difficult. Now the 997.2 is a bit different but just a few tips:

1 - Make sure you have more wrenches that required. The information I had did not have the correct bolt sizes and I ended up having to buy more. Again, this may be more to the 997.2 instructions out there where they all assume the same as a 997.2 but.... you don't want to be short an odd MM wrench
2 - Pass-through ratchet is very important
3 - Spray whatever you can twice with penetrating oil, one week, then one day before the work
4 - An extra floor jack helps take pressures off of parts
5 - Have a friend help. The rears were more difficult than the fronts. I had help with the rears, but did the fronts myself.
6 - Note that the shock tops and bolts are very different for PASM and no PASM... make sure the instructions you are reading are for the appropriate option
7 - Inspect the lower control arms for tears, particularly that center joint. The bushing is not solid and has hols it it and they will tear. Use a very large screwdriver to pry around in there to see if there are crack/s tears.
8 - Have large pry bars/crow bars around
7 - I rented spring compressors and tie rod puller (needed the larger one) from Autozon.... it is free... no really, it is free. You put down a big deposit and then have like 60 days to return it for all money back. This is their rental program.. just fantastic.
8 - Mark the pieces parts up on the top of the strut with a line using a sharpie so you can line them all back up as they were installed.
9 - Check the shocks for leaking.... rub a white towel on them where the shaft goes in/out of the tube.... gunk is bad.
10 - Budget two days.

Good luck!

Peace

I have H&R springs and had mine installed with 45K on the clock. I'm more than fine with the OEM dampers. On my prior 997 I went with H&R coil overs - I have no regrets on this setup with my originals.

Did the swap yesterday with a buddy. All told it took 5 hours and we were taking our time researching things along the way. I'll post pics once I have the new wheels installed too. Thanks to all who replied with helpful advice!
