Audio upgrade for 997.2

I just finished my audio a upgrade project for my 997.2 CS2, 2009. The factory audio sucks, even with the improved Porsche audio plus. The head unit was replaced with a Kenwood DDX9902s. It has apple car play. It works beautiful I have full Siry control, hands free operation, Sirius, HD radio, apple maps, rear view camera with park lines etc, etc, fully loaded. The door speakers were replaced with the Herzt high end ESK 163L5. The rear panel speakers were replaced with the Heartz Coaxial ECX100, the factory amplifier was replaced using a Diamond Micro5V2 5 Channel Amplifier. It provides 80w to each channel and 300w to the sub woofer. This amplifier fits perfectly under the passenger seat. All this was purchased from Car audio innovations. (CAI -Store.com) 1(800)892-6430. They also provided all the wiring harness, face plate, connectors, speakers brackets, cables, diagrams, instructions, and tech support. Their installation manager, Rob, did a great job. For the sub woofer I bought a kicker 6.5" sub fitted into a closed box. It was installed behind the right rear seat. It looks a little award, but I don't care(Crutchfield.com) The rear view camera works perfect. All this came very close to $3k plus the shop fees for the installation. It took 3 days of work. It sound beautiful, powerful and has a great punch. Of course once you are driving you will always have road and engine noise, but don't forget you are driving a 911!! It will never sound as the stero of my MB E-350 but it's an huge improvement. The Bluetooth works beautiful even at highway speeds.

Let's see pics. Equipment costs up there and it sounds like there was a lot of labor in the install.

It was labor intensive. You can see the amplifier, gold color. All the speakers fit perfectly in the original place. No need to make any major modification in the doors or rear panels. For the tweeters you just needed to remove a little plastic trim from original opening. Three and a half days of work. Still working on the alternator noise.

Glad you are happy with your build. I'm just wondering if it was an option for the shop to build a custom sub enclosure? Not sure where they would fit it though.
