Nice - mine is already black - mirrors too, so at least one mod I won't have to ponder.

For people that do this, remember, it doesn't last forever. I had it in my previous car which is parked in a garage every night and only driven to work about 3-4 days a week, and it wouldnt even spend the while day in the sun (next to the building it would be in shade some of the day) and fairly mild climate in Orange County and about 3-4 years later it started to dull a little. That "dull" effect was actually small cracks in the product. It doesn't take long before that happened to the whole wrap. When I had it redone, it took hours for the people to take it off, even with the special product, as the pieces would break. I ended up redoing it any way because I liked the look so much on the M3.

My advice would be to put protective coating on it frequently. And when (not if) you start to get some cracking in the outer layer, have it removed immediately (it should be easier that way). I highly doubt that people that spend thousands of dollars getting their exotic wrapped have any idea that it only lasts a few years or so.

I am not opposed to the stuff, as I did it even a second time, but people need to be aware.

My last car that I did this to had 5 years on the wrap on the roof (brushed black aluminum) and when I sold it still looked as good as the day it was installed.

This CF has a 5 year warranty against cracking or fading and the gloss coating has a UV component to it that the installer says will go for many years.

We will see....

Mine was gloss black and supposedly "the best stuff" and installed by probably the most reputable person in Orange County area. But who knows. It's also possible that in the past few years the product might be a little better as well
