Wrapped My Roof

Wrapped My Roof
Love the look of the new models with the pano roofs and also love the carbon roofs on the M3s. I think the contrast looks great on lighter colored cars. Thought I would do a gloss black wrap to try and get a similar look. I think it turned out pretty good. It was only a couple hundred bucks so if I get tired of it I'll just tear it off....

TCZ - I've been contemplating on wrapping my roof too. But I can't figure out how to make the wrap around the sunroof opening. There is a rubber seal around the opening - I can either stop the wrap right up to the seal or wrap over it. How did you do it? I am afraid if I just trim the wrap right up to the seal it will start to peel later. But if I wrap over it it might rub against the sunroof...That's why I haven't done it.

agree, rails needed to be done as well, looks to narrow without it, nice but would have looked better with rails.

Update: I ended up having a local expert do mine in carbon fiber from Vvivid, 3M black gloss for the sunroof. I plasti-dipped rails. He ended up trimming it with knifeless tape around the sunroof gasket and used edge sealer to hold it down. Apparently I got the older Vvivid stuff that was more difficult to work because of its thickness, luckily I didn't try to do it on my own.
