There is a thread asking users where they keep their phone. I posted a picture of a 3D model/print I made of a phone mount base that fits in our ashtray. It works with the imagnet magnetic phone mount.

Since then, I've been hit up by a number of members asking if they can get one. I went ahead and made the model available on Shapeways so anyone an order one in whatever color they want.

the base fits snugly in the ashtray and is hollowed out so you can stuff a cord down in there. It angles/positions the phone perfectly. To buy one, just follow this link:

Can I remove the round/circular pad from the top, and have it like a box?

 

Unfortunately, no. the disk is attached. I could probably make another model without the disk if you seriously wanted one.

 

I am def. interested, but let me ask, the cig. lighter seems to be on back portion of ashtray in pic, my cig. lighter is front of ashtray. I guess I can just turn the box around and it would fit? Were you able to remove the little door that covers the ashtray? Finally, you found a usb junction that fit in your cig lighter? That would be perfect.

 

Now that is an entrepreneur! and makes me feel good that i bought 3D stock at $53 and now its $15, maybe there is a future lol..
