Feedback on newly purchased 997 price...?

I just bought my first 911. A 2010 base Carrera. I have bought and sold many performance cars but never a Porsche. The challenge I had was understanding the value of the car to the dealer and in the market in terms of negotiating. There is just not a lot of 2010 base models out there so it was hard to understand what a "good" deal is. Accordingly I wanted this boards feedback as there is probably a lot of experience. I got a black/black 2010 997 (41,500 miles) with '19 Carrera 2 wheels, sunroof, heated seats and Ipod connectivity. It also has clear bra all the way to the back end of the doors and you can't see the coating at all. The car is pretty much a base model other than that. All service done at Porsche and 40k service just completed. Paid $45k. Appreciate any insights on that cost. Thanks ahead of time!

I just recently bought my 06 911S adn from what you noted it doesn't sound like a bad deal at all. $45k total or plus fees?

You should the following details as I value these areas; car history, condition, transmission and overall condition.'

Congrats too and post some pics!

ArtVelo and Cerbo, thanks for the feedback. Here are some more details. 6 speed MT, three owners (3 out of 4 years in the south), really clean across the board inside and out. 30 day warranty on Powertrain and they know I will have it looked at again. Bought from a Porsche dealer. Price was $45k not including the DOC fees (corporate overhead) of $650.00 and tax. That $45k also included the dealer putting it on a flat bed 200 miles to my house. I have had various BMW M's and AMGs, but finally decided to go to Porsche. Was sold soon as I drove it. Will post a pic when it arrives later this week.

My input is that not only is the car a less common base, for a Porsche it has high mileage. The mileage has a big influence on used Porsche prices. Also, for a manual car, it would have been important to scan the DME for over revs. Could the car have been CPO'd? Would have been worthwhile on a car with this mileage. Drive it and enjoy it!
I always meter the paint on any car, body panels can be painted even with a clean car fax. Gets tricky if there is a lot covered by a clear bra.
