It's been a while since I owned a sports car. The 997 911S has been on my mind for a while. Finally after many years of waiting, everything aligned and here it is, a '06 911S in GT Silver. My previous sport car was an E46 M3. Since then, I've had a spot for the silver grey introduced in 2003 with the CSL.

The more I drive it, the more impressed I am.

This color is very hard to capture in photos. It's really something else in person even if I say so myself.

Adaptive seats are hard to come by, and full leather is icing on the cake. Those alone cost $10k out of original owner's pocket. Congrats!

 

Really nice color. I like the way it accents the curves of the car by going darker in recessed areas (that make sense??)

 

Yes it does make sense. The overcast skies helped and the shadows really accentuate the gorgeous curves. The darker colors really bring that out. That's one reason I'm not too crazy about Carrera White on the 911. I was going to settle for Artic Silver but the GT is def. more interesting.

Congrats! We have very similar spec and color! 'Betty' is slightly darker Seal Grey, but also 6SM, black full leather, sunroof, adaptives, chrono, bose and navi.

 

Full leather / Adaptive Seats + Sports Chrono are must have yet hard to find , and that color just completes the package.

Now first things first. Fister D Exhaust, Evoms Intake , Lower on H&R springs, LED tail lights + Fog lights thats a nice first round of mods

@ Tarek, Those are def. the popular mods.. you forgot wheels spacers!

 

You reminded me of why I chose the GT Silver.

Yes, I guess the guys (and gals) who busted the proverbial budget on the adaptives and full leather, just had them loaded.

I see you're in the SF area too...hope to run into you at Alice's or the Bovine sometime!
