C2s to C2s w/ x51 powerkit

Is it worth it to trade in for a an 06 C2s with the X51? Or wait for Gt3? I track about 3-4 times a season, and love backroad blitzing as well as long highway drives. What do you guys think?

with 3-4 track days a year do you think the severely harsh ride of a GT3 worth it. Under these conditions i'ld either take the X51 S or the base S and add more than the 26 hp for less money with aftermarket add ons.

I also track about 4-5 times a year and bought my '05 GT3 for that reason. While the car was near perfect for track use it was extremely difficult to use on the street , especially here in the north east. In addition it was missing all of the things I like to have in a street car (sunroof, Nav, a good stereo, etc.) so I ordered an '06 C2S for the street and bought a 1991 C2 to turn into a track car.

Similar situation here. Sold my GT3 bought a 997S and a dedicated track car.

GT3s are fantastic cars, and the 997 version is sure to be badass. But, a PITA to use on the street.

great article in Execellence on this

Check out the club coupe vs 997S article in Excellence. It focuses on the X51 differences. I happened to stumble across it in the book store the other day. Funny how I get these ideas in my head and then see articles written on the subject.
