I have a question regarding the airbox on these cars. I'd love to install a GT3 RS style wing on my 997.2 Carrera GTS. But the GTS has an airbox that supposedly is somewhat different from the "regular" Carrera. With these wings, you lose the fan that normally sits on the stock wing. So what happens when you change out the airbox on a GTS to one to fit the wing? Do you lose performance? And is there a heat soak issue when you're sitting in traffic on a hot day since you presumably lose the fan(s)?

So I'm about to start the same process as you.
Have an OEM 997.1 GT3 wing ready to go in for painting.
I know I need the brake light cable and the rear spoiler delete cable but why have I read that I need a new engine fan and longer screws?
Any details would be appreciated.
