pdk paddle extension pricing

I just saw an ad for PDK paddle extensions (carbon style). Price: $629. Very high price to me. I got similar stuff for my GTI and Audi for about $40. I do understand the volume/market size are not the same but I think the difference is massive. Both stick with tape, it is not like the model for Porsche is a totally new design replacing aluminium shifters and bolted. The Sport Design steering wheel with aluminium shifters is at $999 currently. The paddle extensions for a McLaren are cheaper at $599.

Depends on how badly you want those extensions. I googled and saw them from $199 up. GTI and Audi do not equal 911.
