How Fast would a 4.0 997 S be?
If you have a blown motor...changes the equation a bit. Plus while I love the 997 turbo.. I find the naturally aspirated flat 6s more visceral and engaging. However, Had my motor not gone south, I would have eventually gone turbo 997
Let's have some fun..... How fast would a 6.2L 997S be ?
This will cost a lot less....if you have a blown engine

A brand new crate LS3 engine with warranty is under $8K and one can probably get it for much less, interesting project anyway not that I want to experiment with it myself

Thanks for the dyno. When you say full deal 4L, did it have headers, cats, TB, plenum etc or just the bore?
Turbo is a good option but it involves more money then a rebuild as I looked at it myself
Cheers

From what I remember this was a base S car without those added intake and exhaust features. By "full meal deal" I was referring to the internals such as Carillo rods, JE pistons, GT 3 oil cooler, knife edge race prep/balanced crank, mild head porting etc...
Those high cost ancillaries don't add as much as you would think. I've seen dyno's before and aft. Not much in it after the tune...
