Salvage title 06 CS
Hi guys
I came across a salvage title 06 Blue CS that was a theft recovery. Current owner says he bought it as a "theft recovery" so it has a salvage title on it.
When he purchased the vehicle the engine was blown so he installed a new engine in and it currently has:
-63miles (102,000kms)
-95miles (about 140,000kms) on the chasis.
-new clutch/stage 1 flywheel
Hes asking $34,000 CAN for it. Do you guys think it is worth it? If not how much would you guys pay?
Any input would be great. Thanks guys!

I'd find heck to be sure you can get collision and comprehensive insurance coverage on a salvage title car, and not just liability. Also, long block 3.8 S motors are not easy to come by, so I'd also make sure it got a 3.8 motor reinstalled and not a 3.6.
Might make a good track car, but I'd say it's worth closer to $25 than $35 with a salvage title and consider the difficulty you'll have trying to resell it if you ever decide to.

@slaughterhouse take your time and don't rush it... Stop looking at these unhealthy (salvage title, engine knock) cars.... It's better to find the right one than to have one that ain't right....

Thanks Lowbee.
I know what you mean, but I was thinking maybe this car might be good for like as a daily (as I only drive my other porsche in the summer). I figure there is no damage to the body it might be worthwhile, however I dont want to make any impulsive decision, this is why I post on here so you guys can chime in .
Thank you for the feedback.

If you just want something to beat around in and have no worries about offer him $26k CAD. Still would want to make sure you can insure it. I have a nice high mileage 2005 987 S that would hold more value $18.5 cad . I now have 3 Porsches and one has to go. I got it for the same reason, just wanted something to daily drive and not feel like it had to be perfect. I found out that doesn't work for me. After 40+ hours of restoration and wrenching ($1500+) it is now mr reliable. The Cayenne sits in the garage while I drive the 987 to work everyday.
