Obsessing over one stupid option

Need to decide ASAP... please indulge my petty question.

First of all I hate options, I am a minimalist, I used to check all the boxes, now I've gone the other way. I have the following on order: Arctic/Black C2S with sport seats, sport chrono, mats, and that's it. I'm obsessing over the stupid auto dimming mirrors. Why this is not standard on a car of this expense is crazy, but... I KNOW it is a cheap option, but I just want to hear from those who DON'T have this option how annoying (or not) it is.
It's the principle of the matter to me

I dont have it on my GT2 and coming from a car that does into it at night is VERY disturbing, I always have to have that old style lever flipped to stop the glare. Yes it is pretty messed up that in a car that was almost $200k it didnt come standard. Oh well I dont care its not a daily driver and I love it regardless. I say get them.

u really wanna know how i see it?

without dimming mirror u can spot the difference between normal halogen & xenon/HID easy. with the dimming mirror all types of headlights look the same through the mirror. Y? cops doesn't have xenon/HID headlights.

but paul, just order it.

Doesn't hurt to just order it. I will say however that I have the auto-dimmers in my car and I'm not crazy about it,...I find the image too dark so I almost always have them off!

Hate to do this to you, but if you have the sport seats and sport chrono, you will love the sport shifter. Great feeling. I came from the camp of minimalist options. I now believe that you only live once and this is your dream car.

Minimalist or not... Got to get Bose. 100% no doubt Thats not IMO. Thats a fact. I was listening to it today and truly appreciating not only the quality but the fact that it was the best 1500 I have ever spent. Let alone, the most valuable option available. Self-dimming is a no no in my IMO. It makes everything dark behind you at all times; all for the once in a while when an SUV is hounding.

Maybe you should get your self dimming system checked. Mine works perfectly. It's light most of the time.

Why would I ever waste my $1500 on a Bose system upgrade that is overpriced when I have PSE and the sound of a Porsche engine? PSE is the sound I love to listen to. $1500 can get me a nicer stereo for my house.

yea 1500 is a ton of money for a car audio system... you can get a system that will blow any bose system away for under 1k... the only catch is you have to either do it yourself or have it installed somewhere that probably hires punk kids (18-22) to do the installation.

I wired my V1 into a switched power source above the dome light that is only available if you get the auto-dimming mirrors (the wire harness to power the rear view mirror goes through and above the dome light - I tapped that). So, if you are looking for a slick V1 switched power lead up at the top of the windshield, order the self dimming mirrors, if for no other reason!
