Coupe of coarse as I don't like Porsche cabs.......
I know Porsche claims similar performance numbers, but, which is quicker?? Are they about even or is the 2S faster? I like the wide body, but having owned many 996 Turbos, I'm trying to get the fastest Porsche I can until the 997 TT comes.....TIA

C2S is lighter so it's faster, especially if equipped with the X51. Might not be a big gap though. If you like the wide bodies, than get a C4S.

hatchback is infamous around these parts
Depends on what you mean by quicker... c2s will accelerate quicker in a straight line due to lighter weight, but c4s will have better acceleration on poor surfaces due to AWD. Last season Top Gear raced them both on an indoor rally course and c4s won.

C2S, it has more than enough grip and less weight. If you really like wide hips go for the C4S.

Don't they both have the wide hips?
Lou, for the little difference it makes, and the little time you will have it, I would say find a car that you like with the options you like today weather it be a C2S or a C4S. Both cars are awasome.
Good luck.

C4 & C4S are 44mm wider than C2 & C2S. Rear tires are 305 vs 295 width. Rear wheel offset on C4x is 57mm, I believe... -d

I am only leaning to the C4S becuase I can get wheels that will later fit my Turbo when it comes in.....However, I think the C2S would be more fun?? How could the C4s weigh 150 pounds more and Porsche claim the same 0-60 And 1/4 mile times....Have there been any tests on the C4S yet?? If so, can you direct me to the article....

Lou
