Hello folks,

Just picked up another 997.1... in Colorado, in January. Time for winter tires! Has anyone ran 265/35R19 tires on the stock rear wheels (11" wide)? Looking at the Blizzak LM-32 in 225/40R19 front and 265/35R19 rear. (There is a 275/35R19 LM-32 but it's not load range XL so I'm not sure that's a good idea?) Want to make sure they won't be too stretched on the wheel. Ideally I would buy some 18" wheels and put tires on those but at this time it's not quite in the budget.

Alternatively, could I try to source some Cayman/Boxster rear wheels in 19x9.5 +46 and fit tires to those? Found a pair in California for fairly cheap.

Not too many cars lighter than a 911. Why do you think you need an XL load range tire for it. 265 seems skinny for an 11" wide wheel.

I think it has something to do with cornering load; I'm pretty sure it's recommended to use an XL rated tire.

I purchased Pirelli Winter Sottozero from Porsche in OEM sizes and they're amazing in the snow - just saying.
