Scraping everywhere with eibachs

You guys that have eibachs bottom out and scrape everywhere? This is the case for me and not sure what to do. Yes, I take them at an angle but man, I bottom out and scrape everywhere.

Although I love the ride and the look, might have to take it back to stock if this continues.

Everywhere?? I have H&R which are a little lower. Sure I occasionally scrape the underside of the lip (hit a speedbump a little too fast, steep angled driveway etc) but hardly scrape everywhere including when I was in LA last winter. And the roads in Socal are 20 times better then Toronto!

I scrape and move on. The only thing it impacts in the underside of the front fascia. I can feel it underneath but cant see it because, well, its underneath. Are you sure you arent hearing the side rubber parts that are just behind the front wheel wells? I hit those sometimes but they are just hard rubber

Anyways if it bothers you only thing you can do is raise it back up. The much better looks and handling are worth the occasional scrape to me

I scrape the front skid plate in my C4s with eibachs. It’s minor but it happens on incline/declines.

Ive reached out to Eibach and they are going to take a look at the front as its way lower than it should be with the rear pretty high. The car has settled. I will say that I am very happy with the ride!

How about pictures??? My Eibachs are waiting to be put on.... I got Eibachs cause it's only a 0.8 inch drop, as opposed to most others with 1.5 inch drop. Is yours an awd??? Otherwise, I believe the drop is more than 0.8 on 2wd

That's about what I was going to say. H&R's and yes, a scrape now and then but not anything exceedingly bothersome to me. I can see it on the bumper lip. Nothing major and very easily fixed with some fine sand paper, old newspaper and blue tape for masking and a bottle of satin black spray paint from Home Depot. Looks brand new 15-20 minutes later. Also agree that the much improved look and handling easily outweighs a scrape here and there.

All that said, are roads really that bad in LA? I've been there and driven there not too long ago and bad roads is not something that comes to mind. I can see steep driveways being an issue though. Frankly, most of my front lip scraping is self inflicted when I park up against one of those concrete bars on the ground. Sometimes I get too close and they grace the bottom of the lip.

Yeah....that doesn't sound right. Front and rear drop should be close to the same, making the car look evenly low front and rear, not sitting at an angle. I say "close to the same" since if I look closely, the rear of my car with H&R's is just a tad higher than the front. Has been the same with three 997's with H&R's. Emphasis on a "tad" higher as opposed to way higher.

Even on the horrible roads of New York, I've faced minimal scraping in a lowered 997. Throw a little more angle on those driveway entrances!

I reached out to Eibach and they sent me new front springs under warranty. Going to have them installed soon, lets see what happens.

Yes, the car is still too low and I scrape everywhere. So what did i do? nothing, I just drive the hell out of the car scrapping everywhere knowing that I will have to replace that bumper sometime.

Well, had mine installed and expected to regret it cause my street has an agressive incline at the beginning , but nothing, no more scraping than before. In fact, although totally illogical, it doesn't scrape at all now. Same wheels and tires, just the eibach on. Have you had an alignment done yet. I did and it might be why although still a weird fact.
