No.
The Answer is Porsche stopped using carpet behind the rear seats. They now use black material like the stuff that lines the front trunk.

Having hauled large items in the backseat area, I'd think carpet is more durable. Vinyl gets ripped very easily. However, it would look nicer.

No not vinyl more like synthetic felt and this area is the hold just below the rear window where the top folds into.
