Price Check?

A friend of mine is picking up a 997S cab with a 101,000 dollar sticker. How much should a dealer come off this price?

There is around 13K markup on a coupe. Not sure about a Cab though.

Depends on where he is located. Market effects drive the pricing. Cabs are definitely more desirable at this time of year. I think that 5-6k might be the max without walking out a couple of times...

I did better, but I bought a C4S coupe from a small dealer who needed to move the car.

the car lists for 92k, with a mark up of about 13k at that price; the car has approximately 9k in options plus shipping, so $5,000.00 tops is possible now. In a few weeks doubtful.

There should be no mark up on the vast majority of 997 configurations (not including pre-ordered GT3 and TT). If you mean MSRP minus dealer cost, then that's different of course.
Most peeps on Rennlist (where I've posted more over time) seem to think a current 6-7% off MSRP is good these days on a new 997.
I paid MSRP on my car as it was the first built to spec C4S that my dealer was allocated...and it's what we agreed on long before the car was even thought of being built!
