997 LED headlight bulbs?
Amazon advertises H7 LED replacement headlights. One comment says "the consensus was anonymous: you can't use LED's in halogen headlight assemblies because they don't shine correctly and blind traffic." There are no posts I can find on this website so I assume they are not compatible. What's the story?
The bulbs will work, however if you don't have projector lenses, the light that is reflected in your housing is very bright and blinding to oncoming traffic. Bottom Line, they will work, but you are better off getting a good halogen bulb. Most parts stores sell decent halogens. Sylvania Silverstar Ultra (orange packaging) is often the best output for what most stores carry. It may not look as cool when looking at the light, but output is more important than how cool it looks. If you are really wanting LED's then you should investigate a headlight assembly that uses a projector lense. Morimoto offers a great retrofit assembly that uses projectors and DRL's from 991.
