Thumbs up Installed the EVO intake last night.

Special thanks to Todd and Nate for taking good care of me. These guys make some seriously great quality products! The noise this thing creates past 4000 RPM is intoxicating! Makes the car sound mean as hell. I am getting the headers thrown on today too. Cant wait!

Any idea what the car would be making horsepower wise after this? I am thinking of doing the GIAC flash next, I hear it make a world of difference.

Shawn,
A buddy of mine here in Az has an 05 997S with the Giac flash, Evo Vflow, Fabspeed exhaust, high flow cats & headers. It sounds sick and is definately a huge impovement over the stock 997S. Good luck!

This mod with the GIAC flash is a slam dunk. One of the best, cheapest ways to add 10-17 horses with a lot more growl out the back to boot. Throttle response with the GIAC flash is on par with the Sport Chrono.

Congrats on the mods! I too have the EVO intake (along with a full AWE exhaust) and I agree, that intake 'whirl' sound really is quite cool!

Hi Shawn

Did you get any error messages, as check engine when installing the intake? I have just had the intake of K&N installed and am getting error message.
Any ideas?

I also have the same v-flow intake and have no problems with it. Two things you have to be careful of is the MAF (be careful with it) and don't over-oil the filter. THe v-flow comes w/ the filter already prep'ed to go, so the customers won't mess it up.

Not sure about the K/N.

that is most likely the MAF Sensor. If your fingers touche dthe blades during install you will have a problem.

check intake clamps as well.

right now i have the bmc filter. i like it but i am thinking of getting the v-flow and slapping on some headers and high flow cats to compliment my muffler. do you notice a power difference when you drive??? or is it just noise????

w/ just the v-flow, it's just the noise.

w/ the v-flow + giac, you can definitely notice the diff.

that's all I have for now.
