Question Opinion needed! Please!

Could the enthusiasts here please shed some lights on the problem with a tip 05 997 (mileage around 5k)? I am wondering whether there is something wrong with the Tip. The reason I suspect the transmission is because that whine sound (or vibration sound) only occurs "once" everytime when engaging the gear lever from P to D/R or N to D/R (the whine sound actually comes from the engine area - could it be from the torque converter?). No whine at all if the gear is from D/R to P or D/R to N. After the gear is fully engaged, no noise at all and the transmission is solid like a rock.

Do you think this whine sound could be from a bad transmission pump, clogged oil filter or a stuck control valve? Do you think the changing of the transmission oil and filter may cure the noise? Your comments are very much appreciated.

One more question, for automatic transmission, what components will be activated when moving the gear lever from P or N to D/R?

Just a guess, could it be the torque converter? although my understanding with a bad torque converter is that it will develop a continuous whine which is speed dependent.
