Price for '05 or '06 S?

A friend is looking to buy a used '05 or '06 S. It's tough to tell what the real selling prices are via AutoTrader or KBB or even eBay.

Any pointers on what would be a good and great deal much appreciated.

Thanks.

Mdrums, where are you located? 06 Cabs are only about 4K off here in AZ.

Not true in my recent experience (3 weeks ago). N. Scottsdale has lots of cabs.

PM me and we can discuss off-line. You should be able to get significantly more than $4k off.

Good luck.

Arggggg I paid sticker for my 2006 back in 2005 when the 997S was impossible to find. I called and visited about 13 dealerships and nobody would deal on the S coupe. Am I upset now that I see these $8K discounts? Not really...I love my car so much that it is worth every penny!

If you can buy an S for 8K off I would say go for it in a BIG way!!

If anybody can PM me dealers willing to trade on 6-speed coupes, I'd appreciate it.

Best.

Prices are all over the place...But the 05's right now are the best deal. It really comes down to options and mileage. Prices I've seen vary from $70k to over 100K for a highly optioned low mileage car (aero kit, PCCB's etc...).

anyone selling a 997s something other than black or red?

with some of the deals out there now, it may make more sense to buy new.

I'm hoping that during the next month dealers are going to get choked up with 2007's arriving.

The '07's are arriving and from what I've seen the dealers are trying to move the '06's...for instance a well optioned GT metallic 06 997S, sticker is $92k, they've "discounted" it to $89k.

IMO, it NEVER makes sense to buy new unless you have money to burn...the depreciation you realize the second you drive it off the lot is huge. You can easily find the same car with about 5000 miles that is basically brand new for $20k less including taxes etc...

gonna call around this week to get some kind of pricing for my 911.
i don't think prices are dropping 20k as soon as you walk out of the dealership. it all depends on ur level of desperation to sell the car plus options. i would love to find a c2s for 60k.
