My cousin has a heavily modded e36 M3 w/ Dinan software and supercharger, making 380 rwhp. How does he hold up against me? He loses to my 997s from a roll, from a dead stop, even when I let him pass me a little.

He didn't believe me until he ran against me. Now he wants to buy a 997!

LOL....... U call that a heavily modded e36 M3 ? .....LOL

and there is no such thing as a heavily modded N/A M3...

Why dont run against a real "heavily modded e36 M3 " with custom turbo kit making 650/700 WRHP AND TQ ?

Well then why dont you run up against VRAlex's Protomotive making 1040 AWHP, or Craig's beast, or Divexextreme, or any of the other guys that have heavily modded 996TT's?

i HIGHLYYYYY doubt any e36 is over 1000 hp even 800 on stock internals and motor, street car yes. The Porsche's obviously have stronger internals for the motor, displacement is the same and yes they are street or even daily driven cars, that can run 9's!

Amen to that. I love my GT3 and obviously wouldn't put my much missed 05 330i ZHP in a comparo. But, I have to say, that beemer is one of my all time favorite cars. Super sharp turn in. Tossable and controllable. Sweet sounding engine with plenty of power for the daily commute. Plus the one time I took it on the track at Lime Rock, I had a blast driving past a couple of 996's. Until the engine became starved for gas when the tank went low. And so I learned that that car isn't something for the track in stock format. Never driven a M3 but if the 330i was that good, the M3 must be incredible. I may try to buy my 330i back but I will wait for the test drive of the 335i.

1.06! That's pretty good. I'm doing 1.01-2's in my GT3. I've come to the conclusion that I will always want to own a Porsche and a performance oriented BMW (i.e. a 3 series or Z4 Coupe). If Audi can get the weight down on an A4/S4/RS4 then maybe that's an option too.

Nice man, when I went it was with the Viper/Aston Martin club, my friend has a viper and his now track setup e46 m3, then it was bone stock.I must say, they said anything or anyone at 1:11 or so was respectable, so I took that as a huge accomplishment for myself and the car, your times are great too, my viper and now porsche friend Steve Katz (bought a 996tt a few months ago, originally a big viper owner) is a professional hired racecar driver, he took me out in his bone stock gts acr viper with toyo ra1's, he was pulling low 50's and said it was 8/10ths of the cars or his capability, I was in awe.Another thing is in the M3 again you feel so planted and safe, except with the stock m3 suspension it gets very wallowy in the back end coming up over the big hill and on high speed sweepers, he said the 996tt has 10x more grip and can be pushed even further then the gts acr and is A LOT faster, I can't imagine what he can do in a turbo let alone your gt3 When is thr next event your going to??Martin
(Edit - Sorry for the big run on paragraph, I'm on my phone and when I space it doesn't actually show up that way when posted )
