did you do a baseline dyno? then dyno after your "mods"??

i did..no change...think i paid about $3k for intake, headers and flash

they gave me a lot of bs about how it takes 10-15 dyno runs before and after to get the car dyno happy...i did 3 before and afters...i will say the shop i used did not have porsche experience...save your dough...

if we want to get true evaluation - someone in tampa area with non-modded car should meet up with me and lets compare

track-driving lessons are the BEST way for you to get the most out of your porsche, not to mention you'll get to keep those skills long after you have sold/traded in your car :-)

$6K is A LOT to spend for a 40HP increase. And based on the poster above, it doesn't seem to be worth it. Modding the 997S for more power doesn't seem worth it unless you go with a SC. Do the suspension, wheels, and exhaust for better sound.

Hi, I'm your guy! I live in Tampa with a new 997 C2S Cab. Only mod I have is Fabspeed mufflers. I could not tell a power difference with the muff's but they do sound better than stock. My car is a tip though so that could be a cool comparo.

I agree with Marwan. I recently went to PDE. PDE costs about as much as mufflers and headers. I will probably realize more performance from PDE than from headers and mufflers. I would not have driven my car as hard as I drove the school cars. PDE is awesome. Those guys run a very professional course. I highly recommend it. For those that don't have deep pockets, consider driver training before modifying the car.

You will be hard pressed to add significant HP to the 997 NA motor. Im not saying dont mod it, just dont expect to pull away that much faster vs. a stock one to see how your $7k was spent.

Stick to the basics, perhaps suspension, maybe some lighter wheels, add a full exhaust with high flow cats and then reflect on the car again and then go from there.

You should also factor in the large cost of mods with no return on investment vs. moving to a newer, faster Porsche? Food for thought.

i would just go with the power package from porsche...its warrentied and makes the car amazingly fun...then just do a suspension and you are completely set!
