Many problems w/new 997s

WOW, my car has been awesome until right over 1500 miles. It ran fine today for a 100 mile trip and I stopped on the way home to get gas. I started the car back up and I have the following on board messages:

1-Check Engine Light
2- PSM Failure
3- PASM Failure
4- ! red light is on
5- Hesitation comes and goes from acelleration from a stop

I just had the dang thing in for an alignment last week as it was badly pulling to the right. Now this chit!
I'm out of town all week and am supposed to run from Tampa to Sebring on Saturday morning to check out a PCA driving event. I just joined PCA and was looking forward to this trip to check it out and meet some members of my local PCA club. Looks like it will not happen....dang it!

I thought these cars were reliable!!!!???!!!

Sorry, you're having such a bad experience. I have owned three Porsches including the one I have now, with very few issues.

MY 2003 Black/Black Carrera had only 1 check engine light and after one fuel cycle the light went away (totaled with ~~15,000 miles)

MY 2004 Silver/Graphite Turbo had no issues (sold with ~~13,000 miles)

MY 2006 Basalt/Black Carrera had 1 check engine light that disappeared after I took it to the dealer. ( currently has 6,400 miles)

These cars are usually quite reliable and have no issues with reliability.

I think you *might* have some electrical gremlins for all those issues to pop up.

Well, all this went down on Saturday evening. So on Monday my wife calls the dealer and gets it worked out so she can run the car up and have it check out while she waits. She starts the car and none of the lights come on! Good and bad because the dealer said the car cleared itself of the codes so they have no idea why they came on. The dealer thought maybe the gas cap was not one correctly but they could not explain the PASM and PSM failure lights. Everything cehcked out OK on the car.
