I have the same rattle and it is driving me nuts!!! I thought it was loose change as well and I took everything out of my glove and center console box and I still have it. Thanks for this post - it may have saved me some sanity!

 

I hate those rattles...I had them in my 996 and 997. Drives me nuts.

Hey trovan try turning the car upside down. Maybe whatever is making the rattle will fall out.lol

 

I still haven't fixed the rattle from the passenger seat. Sounds like 'slow down, slow down' or something like that. I have to put the windows down and the radio way up to compensate.

 

thank god i am getting my reus put in next month. if this thing is as good as advertised, i wont' hear no more rattles.

 

Get a set of muffler bypass pipes instead

 

My 997 Carerra seems to have a wierd rattle in or around parking brake handle. Drives me nuts. If I grab handle and pull up. It goes away for a few seconds.
