In the new GT Porsche magazine's article on the new GT3 RSR, they mention that the car has a sequential manual that is derived from the transmission in the RS Spyder.

Does anyone know if this is the likely "father" of the PDK or sequential manual that is supposed to be coming in the non race cars?

 

It's probably based, if not the same, as the gearbox that comes on the 997 CUP cars. It's a racing gearbox that's not easy to get used to and not related to the PDK.
