After three trips to the dealer my 06 997S cab is "incapable" of retaining the processing required to auto lock the doors after 5 MPH. The mechanism fails after 3 or 4 start ups. The techs are stymied. Anyone had the same problem?

 

Ask the techs if they posted a question on PCNAsource.com- but more then likely they have or are going to.

 

didn't have any issue on this reprogramming on my 02 996. dealer took care of it easily while i had a new set of keys reprogrammed (orig remote failed).

downside of having automatic lock is you'll have to pull the door pull twice to open it. once to unlock, second to open door. otherwise, you can manually unlock door using center console switch.

 

They did and the answer is unique for this particular 997. The internal PCM overides the dealer's input. New codes are now in hand to retry. We'll see. The 996 was just a 5 minute deal.
