well, got you this far....after much deliberation i chose to stay "close to home" and selected the 19" Porsche Carrera Classic for the 997. although similar it was different enough from the 18" inch 5 spokes that originally came with the car. my car is arctic silver/black so i chose to go with the black outlined crest center caps and will eventually purchase Eric's painted silver/black/red badges for the entire car (hood/wheels). yes, i had my chance to go bling (my other choice were Techarts and perhaps one day i will have enough $ to do something beyond that) but i have always appreciated and enjoyed the look of classic Porsche oem equipment. i chose 5mm spacers on all 4 corners and 295 30's in the rear.

Hey...just curious where is this famous Arling and Lucent? I am in Miami, Florida so never heard of him, but boy....he is popular.

 

arling is in southern california, i recently bought a car that he did extensive work on. He is very good .......

 

Yes, Arling is Los Angeles centric and truly cares about all forms of auto exotica including Porsche. Has one of the cleanest shops i've ever come across and doesn't purport to be nothing more than customer service driven. he especially cares for those on this board who have helped him out.

Your right, but based on the comments its too bad for ME... Not many reliable shops/people in Miami. Everyone is sort of sketchy but I plan on being a forum member for a while. I am sure some sort of large 6 speed meet will pop up one day. I would love to meet some of the guys here, and I plan on owning P-cars for life. Just leased my first (07 C4S) but it is a beauty. Keep up the good work we live and die but only leave behind the good we have done for others.
