What Exhaust??????

So I was driving and saw a sweet blue 997 Cab going the other way....and it sounded AMAZING....more like a Lambo or Fcar than a Porsche...high pitched and exotic...not loud, just exotic...thats the word that comes to mind....what exhaust was this? If I wasnt bringing lunch home I would have flipped a U and chased him down to ask him....Any ideas?

did u try loosening the 2 little hex nuts on the band clamp? that will enable you to adjust the angle of the outlet.

thats what i thought at first too with mine. called fabspeed and asked them to send a new elbow piece as it seemed too short. after speaking with them, they ensured me that it just needed to be adjusted. after loosening everything up we got it adjusted right. good luck

NYSeal - My fabspeed mufflers didn't fit into my stock 997S tips. I tried everything with no success until I took my car to a porsche place nearby. They (Protosport) made the fabspeed piece that goes into the tips smaller in circumference. It worked perfectly then. Feel free to PM me if you need more info.

I have a complete exhaust system, from headers to tips, from Europipe. The Europipe system replaced my Evo headers, stock cats and Fabspeed mufflers.

Compared to stock and the last set up, the Europipe has a very "exotic" sound without the droning deep pitch I got with my Fabspeed mufflers. Film and sound are provided at the manufacturer's website -- http://www.europipe.be/1024.html

Also, as the Mike R. indicated, I had to have my stock 997S tips machined in order to have them fit onto the Fabspeed mufflers. The connecters on the tips had to be widened slightly. The vendor assured me this wasn't necessary, but the fact is it was.

funny, my stock S dual tips fit right on my Fabspeed mufflers. Sound like you got some Fabspeed mufflers for the standard Carrera.
