Should a 997 C4 keep up with a 996TT?

no kidding...I used to own an M3...but I never thought I could take anything like an Evo or CarreraS...However...I DID think I could take a 996 c2...that was about the extent of the BMW M3 Pcar beating power...

we can do a few run, dont matter, ill run against anything, i dont mind losing drag races, its the car, not the driver. you do canyon runs?

We ran at least a half dozen runs from 10-20mph rolls to 110-120mph. Each time the Turbo could only pull about 1/2 - 3/4 of a car on me.
I was shocked and most reply's blasted me saying no way.
Well, I have run a few more stock TT's since with very similar results. I am as shocked as anyone else but it is in fact reality. That video posted a few threads back is WAY off.

Im sure the 997 is "torquier"...its got a 3.8 and doesnt need to rev as high...
But...its also conciderably heavier and the gearing is just different...ask Illm3 about the gearing...he is far more knowledgable about this then I.
I have beat a modded 997S (ECU, Fabspeed headers, high flow cats, mufflers & V-flow) and a 04 Gallardo with my GT3 (Stock). Both cars from a dig and from a roll. The Gallardo is definately faster than the S.
