Deal on 997 Carrera S or...?

I've got a line on a Blk, Blk 2006 997 Carrera S with Techart wheels, skirts, and spoilers, sport chrono and 6400 miles. ...for 47K.

It supposedly has had no body work or mechanical issues. Anything else anyone can think of I should look into. I'd hate to pass on it just because it seems too good to be true...

Must be a scam

You know it is too good to be true. Why would anyone sell the car 25-30k below market value. I would even look further except to stay away from whomever is pushing the deal. If the car is available probably a salvage title or somthing like that.

i haven't even seen them in the high 50s on ebay yet so i would be very careful.

That person posted that on ebay and the listing got removed. I contacted her to see the car and she told me she is in Germany and cannot show anyone the car.

That is a scam as she was also using one of the 6speed members cars on her auction as her own car.

Please stay away from that.

Just asking people's opinions here. Clearly I thought it shady enough to bring it up to the board. I certainly would not consider purchasing anything without looking into it.

After a little more investigation it does appear to be a scam. This person also claims to be overseas on business currently. I've asked for a VIN...doubt I'll get one.

Thanks to those of you who left constructive comments.

Yeah she told she is so busy and away on busienss in Germany and if you send her a deposit to her fake escrow company she will ship you her fake car. It is the latest scam these days. She even bought a person's feedback from ebay to make it all look legit.

I reported her to the FBI already as i have friends who work there. You should do the same as i cannot stand ppl like this.

If you are looking for a 2007 911 C2 i have a dealer friend who was selling one for $68K brand spanking new.

Same way as described above. 1 week later i see a member here post the same picture of the car that was used on the auction.

It does not even matter as this car she is selling does not exist.

A quick update...the seller provided the following VIN: WP0AB29926S743042 for the vehicle in question and said the car was located in Philly. I told him I'd pay cash and pick up in person, haven't heard from him since. Anyone hear know this car?

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eB...5867445&rd=1,1

BTW, this seller is attempting to "sell" an RS4 and a Range Rover Sport as well.

here's another listing utilizing the same email address, though this one includes a name and phone number:

could be good for kicks.
