my best friend is thinking on adding a roll bar to his 997, what options are out there? If you have photos don't forget to post them... TIA

 

I want to add one in the future, but from what i've read the tequipment bar is nice and blingy but more of an accessory than a safety item, and the DAS bar is a good track bar.

 

I'm assuming the tequipment bar must be bolt on?

 

I looked into it a bit... Started looking for easiest / least obtrusive first. A BK roll bar (same as the 996 I believe) is inexpensive and easy to put in, but you need aftermarket seats in order to pass the belts through. So, that meant new seats and if I was going that way, I'd put a full cage in. My conclusion was either it's a street car with 3 point belts and my oem sport seats, or it's no longer a "street car" that I can take my daughter in the back seat in and it's a roll cage with race seats.
