Opinions on Super Charging

Hi Guys,

Considering adding a super charger to my C4S, wanted to ask for some feedback from those of you that have installed this. Would you do it again?

How are the performance gains?

Is the car still civil while crusing around town?

Any mechanical issue come up afterward?

Thanks in advance.

Mike

we have done a handfull of EVOMS SC kits here with no mechanical issues after the fact, the 996s and 997s were both very civil on the highway and in traffic, the power gains are amazing.

How much is the installation for a 997S , approx.how much hp gain can be expected and how long does the installation take ?
Do you give any warranty for the installation ?

Just remember folks that SC kits could hurt re-sale value down the road and don't expect to recoup anything more than about 10 cents on the dollar for your mods come sell time. My suggestion would be to buy a 997TT or leave the SC'ing to the muscle car crowd.

1 yes i would do it again
2 the gains are astronamical i think porsche should have made it this way[with sc]
3 its civil but the question should be....will you be civil with all that power at your disposal?
4 that was my main concern and untill now nothing only one error message wich according to evo is normal.shut it down start it back up and presto error message gone.never came up again.
5 oh really important....................very verrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrry important the only side effect is you might be driving around with a grin on your face all day long

Thanks for the feedback and the link, I should have done a little more searching before posting. My last car was the e55. As much as I love the total package of my 997, I'm like Capt Kirk, I need more power. Will keep reading, thanks again.

Its a bolt on bolt off mod... if you plan to resell, take it back to stock.

I have had mine installed for 19,000 miles with no problems and I love it. I am faster than an X50 Turbo and I spent the savings I would have spent on a Turbo on new suspension and brakes. My car rocks.

I could give a rats A$$ about resale value. I am DRIVING my car, not planning on a resale.

Besides the S/C, what other mods do you guys who already have the kit recommend?
What about the stock clutch? Which clutch do most guys go with if they replace their clutch after the EVOMS S/C Kit install? How long would the stock clutch last as long as you don't beat the crap out of it?
