Home Link Question

Does any body know for certain if the M/Y 2005 997 had 'Home Link' as a standard feature. I read some early 997 specifications (might have been euro build) that said 'Home Link' was an option.

If someone has an early (2004 build) 997 US production build please let me know if your car has it as standard equipment.

Thanks for the help!

Home link was standard equipment in both the 997 and 997 S models
(per pg.97 of the manual)

I had no problem programming it.Worked the first try.
I also have an MB and an Audi, both with homelink. After God knows how many tries, I finally gave up on them.
The Porsche was the only one I was able to get to work.

My homelink works perfectly...opens all 3 garage bays without issue...it's so great to no longer have the 1970s era remote taking up space in the car!

Yes! I got my working find. It's very tricky to program, it took me three try. The good think is you don't have another remove clip on the visors.

Mine was a breeze to program, 2 doors that have roll over tech and one other location with a static code.

Program the Homelink with the remote controls. Make sure you do it out of the range of the garage door opener.
Then program the rolling code door opener and it should be fine.

I remember having some issues in the beginning but after going to the Homelink website to get more detail instructions it went smoothly.

Basically if you have a newer garage opener, the kind where the frequency and codes change periodically you have some extra work to do. In the end I found the Homelink website a valuable resource in addition to the manual.

Heres an FAQ if you have the rolling code garage door opener:

http://www.homelink.com/home/keeloq.tml

They have guides, you might have to hunt them down but they are there.
