Did I Miss Something?
Porsche-There is no subsitute. this says it all and how i feel, nothing else feels, looks, or is the same. I think Porsche has a car that is the best at a lot and also the best overall package. enough said. drive one more and youll love it. for me, it was love at first sight and drive!

Piper,
Thanks for yor frank comments. I guess its good to be reminded that 911s are not for everone. As far as I am concerned, nothing comes close to the secure handling, speed, and raw sportiness of Porsches...and I felt that way the first time I drove one. There are many great rides out there and to each his own! Let us know what you decide on.

You are so right 997 C2 & 997 C2"S" a major different. On your next test drive make sure is a 997 Carrera S with Short shift & turn on the Sport Chrono.
[quote=E55AMG] Maybe I shouldn't say "beat". He drove it the way it was supposed to be driven! he also drove for about 35 minutes. The handling, braking, steering, and overall feel just blew my mind.
Yes! You have to "beat" this car to have fun. I didn't know until I took my car to the race track. Wow! My suggeation you should hook up someone in 6speed live Arizona, give you a test ride...

I recognize that site !!!
BTW, I've recently been focusing on converting old VHS Porsche vids to my site - there are some nice 993 vids now and a 1991 salesperson "How to Do a Demo Drive" vid that is priceless.
Meow,
Coochas
to me, driving a Porsche is like skiing really fast, I know that I am control, but I have to pay attention and be involved with the movement of the car/ski.
I have owned cars from Jaguar, lexus, Saab, BMW, and others, and for the pure enjoyment of driving, there is no substitute
