Am I nuts?

I am thinking about trading my 2014 PTTS for a Macan Turbo or a Range Rover SVR. I love the PTTS but since I recently bought a Aston Martin Vantage V12S it doesn't have the same appeal to me. The fun factor isn't there as much as the Aston. I have had Cayenne Turbos in the past and think I may want another SUV. I just don't know if I will miss the sedan and I think I am going to take a big hit on the PTTS. Any thoughts? Thank you in advance for any input. Also, if anyone my be interested in the PTTS please PM me.

Short answer: yes.

Long answer: What is it that you want from a SUV specifically? I have a hard time seeing it as being anything remotely close to driving pleasure. If it's fun your looking for, the direction to go is sports coupe, not SUV.

"Cargo space" is the obvious answer, but you didn't mention that, and the Panamera has a remarkably amount of cargo space for something sporty. I've hauled some big items and long items in mine.

You are not nuts at all! Sounds like you have the bug in your head already, although I'm not sure that the Macan Turbo will fill the need. If you want an SUV, how about the X6M or the new MB GLE Coupe AMG63?

I don't consider the Mecan a Real SUV... more MINI SUV than anything. Falls in the realm of Rx400/450 IMO. just with more *****.

You are correct on taking a hit on the PTTS. Ask yourself if you REALLY need and SUV and decide from there. If you cant stomach the financial hit on the PTTS then keep it and re-analyze your situation in a year.

I traded in an 8 month old Macan Turbo for my new PGTS. Could not be happier.

The Macan Turbo left me flat. Not enough Porsche DNA, too much Audi.

Dont do it. The PTTS is0-200km/h in about 11.8s,the SUVs mentioned do it in around 18-19s. Thats Mercedes A-class territory. A fast diesel SUV is close. I changed to a BMW i8 with a 0-200 in around 14s, although I love the car, the PTTS is seriously fast, and sometimes I miss it, dont do it.

I don't consider the Tesla to be a competitor. Have you ridden in one? They are trash inside. The batteries and electric motors are amazing but they really dropped the ball on their interiors.

Have you considered a Bentley Continental GT Speed? That's a worthy cross-shop from a PTT.
