I'm 5'6-5'7 and short trips are fine.

I'd agree with around 5'6", though most of it depends on how far back the front seat is. If you have tall people in the front the back is rendered nearly useless for adults.

FWIW - I have 2 small kids and wouldn't have been able to buy this car without the rear seats.

edit - fixed typo.

The backseats in the cab are even worse! The angle on the back rest is horrible. But in the short period of time I have had my car, I have had many people sit back there. They usually enjoy the ride so much they seem to forget about the discomfort lol

when i had it, i fit a 300 lb. guy there once in a 2005 coupe. my gf, who is 5' tall was there a bunch of times but was never happy nor comfortable. most times she was sitting sideways. back seat is definitely nice to have for just in case purposes but that is about it. one time we had the back seats down and filed the entire area with groceries etc. that was a much more appropriate use of that space...

Word...

I am 5'6 myself...Can only bear short trips in my 997...I had a friend who's 6 '3 and he hated being placed in the back seat...His head kept on bumping the roof..I also had a couple of people between the 5 '10 and 6'1 range...same results..

WOW - 5' 6'' and you fit back there - is that with the front seat moved all the way ahead or with you sitting sideways with your legs over the tunnel.

I have a 4 year old son that the rear seat space is one of the reason I think of getting a 911.

I have put three people in the back before, including one individual who was 6'. The third passenger was a girl 5' 3"ish and she sat on the hump between the two seats. I was DDing them so they were all a bit too tipsy realize they were in discomfort. I did however have to move my seat up about 8 inches from where I normally drive.

I did notice 2 things when you have that many people in the car.
1. It is hard to keep the windows from fogging when the windows are up.
2. You have to slip the clutch quite a bit to get the car moving.

Completely serious. At first I thought the ebrake was up but it was all due to the extra weight. I would say with the 5 of us in there it probably added almost 800 pounds to the car.

I have never been in the back of a 997 but I think it is similar to an Audi TT.. my dad tried to make me sit back there when he got pissed at me, I couldn't even put my feet on the floor it's so tight, I ended up laying on my side curled up and I'm 5'10", couldn't imagine how a 6'4" tall person would feel
