Painted calipers

Did not like the black calipers on my non "S", so I had them painted Guards Red to match the car. I got the Porsche decals from ebay. It turned out quite nicely.

crocrr,

that looks great. Some quick questions.

1. how much did that run to get it painted?
2. you said you put the porsche sticker, just curious cuz I thought the caliper gets hot. Wouldn't the sticker melt???

again looks great!!!

Thanks LIL RAJA! It took two days to do it right. Since it is a Porsche, I figured that I would try and do it right. It was done by a high end paint shop.

1) Remove all calipers from car.
2) Dismantle calipers. (remove pads, retainers etc.)
3) De-grease
4) Prep
5) Several coats of high temp ceramic base coat.
6) Several coats of Guards red paint
7) Cure
8) Place super strength titanium based "sticker" on caliper. (I Jest)
9) Clear coat over sticker
10) Cure

Cost $500

I did the same thing on my WRX which is a track car. The paint (and sticker) held up just fine. Only the red turned slightly darker over time.

Raj (crocrr)
