Nicest Interiors in a 997
when it comes to resale black interiors typically do best. i like full black leather on the black exterior. carbon with all the black would look nice as well (i like it in my rs4).
good luck with your decision

In my opinion, you can never go wrong with black for several reasons:
1. It wears better, as dirt, grime, etc. is not as obvious.
2. Most people like the black interiors.
3. For resale, you will not hear someone say "I don't like that color" (for the most part).
I personally chose the black with a great deal of leather trim and the aluminum finishes because I think it is elegant yet sporty, but not over the top.
Today, you see a lot of folks putting a great deal of color and carbon fiber in their interiors. This is fine and beauty is in the eye of the beholder. BUT, you must be realistic with your expectations for the car. Will you want to change in a couple of years? Keep it for a very long time? This will help you decide what to do with your choices. Not everyone likes colors that stand out or materials that are "in" today, and perhaps "gone" tomorrow.
Here are some poorly taken photos of my interior. Good luck!!

IF a cabriolet then light is cooler, but for a coupe that's not a factor. Suggest you try the natural leathers.
Sorry, I'm unable to upload any reasonable-sized photos for you to judge. One thing I don't care for about 6Speedonline...

The woods, well, with all the interiors that are posted up here, I don't think there is much demand - for a reason. I just don't think it works well in this car with a serious racing pedigree - but it certainly is something which screams luxury.
Again - your ride is your own - you have to sit in it and say "I designed this, I effing love it" and hit the gas. Its a daunting process with all the choices, but its a blast too. Post photos when you take delivery.....
Mine is Arctic Silver with the Midnight Blue Interior. Adaptive Sport seats (no crests, stock plastic backsides). Guards Red Dials and Belts. Full Leather - including center console w Porsche Crest. Aluminum Brake handle and machined Gear Shift (short throw). Thick Steering wheel. Aluminum accents. Sport Chrono. Leather Roof & Pillars. Leather Dome Light. Leather Sun Visors.
My favorite - Carbon Door Sills with Model Insignia. Since I didn't badge the car, its the only place to see the model - and since its an X51, wanted friends who are crossing the threshold to get an idea of what they were about to experience.... I wanted just the little bit of carbon fiber to match the CF airbox on the X51. Referring to the CF sills, the dealer said "Don't introduce yet another design element." I did it anyway - because its only visible with the doors open. He saw it, loved it and would begin recommending it to new clients...
The blues in the photos are much lighter since I was using a flash on an overcast day - its really quite dark.
[For some reason the site will only permit me to upload 2 photos - there are more interior and exterior photos in the powerpoint in my signature below]

I too would like to save the $2300 on the adaptive sport seats; however, the other distinction is you can only get the adjustable lumbar support with the adaptive. Otherwise, it would be easier for me to just go with the manual sport seats.

The shoulders of the adaptives are much wider and more comfortable.
well, i don't have too many pics of my car yet (only had 'er a month), but here's a night shot of my black on natural leather 997S. i agree with the earlier comments about staying away from wood. i also considered ordering the CF packages, but didn't think it would look right. IMHO i made the right choice.
