Ordered My New Shoes!

I'm like a giddy school girl! Yesterday ordered a new set of TechArt Formula GTS 20's for my C4S from Dave at Wheel Enhancement (Great Guy). They come in Tuesday. Can't wait. I'll post some pics as soon as they're mounted.

mind telling me how much they cost you? im thinking about getting these as well as soon as I get bored of the Carrera classics. Would love to hear the driving quality change of the 20" once you get them on.

You're pretty close to the guys at Wheel Enhancement - just call or email them and they'll give you a quote. Better yet drop by and see them - great selection of wheels and quality service.

I hope you all have much better luck with wheel enhancement than I did. My transaction with them, granted a few years ago, was a complete and total disaster. I would never do business with them again no matter what the price. It is possible that there is a new ownership team in place as it would be difficult to believe that the people I dealt with could run a company and still be in business.

This is one of the few posts I've read on 3 boards that reported negatively on WE - maybe I've seen one other. I've seen many more that are positive. Personally, in the last 18 months, I've purchased 3 different sets of wheels/tires from them and have always received outstanding customer service and the prices seemed competitive too. All-in-all my experiences have been very favorable so I would continue to do business with them. Sorry to hear yours was a disaster.

Love Techart, with that said I saw a new 997 Turbo with 20" Techart and it looked like well an SUV. But nice wheels anyway, goodluck

Wow, that's too bad. I can say that my transaction went flawlessly. I would recomend Wheel Enhancement to anyone without hesitation. I worked with Dave and Alan, both great guys in my book. As everyone knows in business sometimes "**** happens." Even Nordstrom has some unhappy customers once in a while.

I'm trying to upload pics, but so far no luck. I'll try again later.

You and me. No matter what i do I'm told the file's too big. I''m down to 15% of the original size photo now and it still won't take it. If I start with a photo that's 1600 x 1200 and the limit is 900 x 900, how can an 85% downsize still be too large? Seems like a 50% reduction should fit right in.

Hope you like the Techarts but they ARE VERY HEAVY. Kinda like wearing diving boots! They do look good but I'd stick with 19" v.s. 20" at any rate...

Here are the pics.

As for the weight, yeah, there's a sacrifice. Took me a while to finally decide on these wheels. At the end of the day looks trump the slight difference in performance. In terms of acceleration it's simply the difference in rotating mass, total Rollout is practically the same thanks to lower profile rubber. In the corners there's a bit more unsprung mass, but that's what AWD's for Saved the stock wheels for the track. Got my H&R's going on Friday. I'll post some more pics as I progress (now that I know how to post pics, thanks for the advice in the General Questions Forum).
