Ipod connection
Just thought I would pass on the latest in from Germany on this new thread.
Porsche have got Bang and Olufsen to build a direct direct cable connection for an IPod to integrate with the PCM.
This will be a genuine part and is expected for release September 2007.
I do not know much more, so you if you have any detailed queries, you might want to direct them directly to your dealer.

Guess with Bang and Olufsen the sound will be very clear and on par with Cd changer quality/clarity. Hope they offer Bang and Olufsen soundsystem in the near future like the Audi A8 lineup.

And I just think its a bit weird that Porsche would go to B&O to create an ipod cable .. I figure they would go to the makers of the PCM or at least apple. B&O just tends to make technology look pretty.

The information came from my Porsche employee who has just been at Porsche in Germany. So its from the works at HQ.
Apparently only Bentley and porsche share this special optical ring. Dont know why B&O put their hand up.
Hey maybe B&O are doing something for the Panamera.
Obviously it isnt Apple, why should they be interested in creating a device solely for Porsche and Bentley.
Anyway my informant is adamant it is on. So lets wait and see!
My Porsche guy saw quite a few Panamera's going around the track. He said their noise sounded just awesome. He said that there is real buzz about the car.
