NYC Area OEM Sirius Installation

Does anyone know of a shop in or near NYC that has sucessfully retrofitted the OEM Sirius kit that works w/ PCM?

I know that Lonnie @ Danbury Porsche has done over a dozen of these, but i'd prefer not to ship the car or spend the day up in CT.

For reference, this is the kit that i have in hand from Suncoast; http://e-partssales.com/Merchant2/me...electronics997

That looks liek a really cool thing!!! Where does the antenna go?

Only thing is that it say it takes 8 hours to install, and at a Porsche dealer, that could cost upwards of $1000.... Is it worth it?

The antenna is placed underneath the windshield wiper cowl, so it is nicely hidden. I have read that the installation is actually in the 4-5 hour range for an experienced technician.

There is a ~29 page thread on rennlist regarding this particular retrofit, and other available sirius/xm installations if you want to dig deeper.

Just an update for anyone whose interested in doing this, I ended up taking the car to Lonnie @ Danbury Porsche to retrofit the cayenne satellite unit into my 997.

Albeit expensive, the job was excellent. Total came to $1,100 in parts and another $750 in labor. This is a full OEM option where the sat radio (choice of XM or Sirius) is fully functional through the PCM.
