need help on driving schools
I would like my son attend one of the driving schools but found out that Porsche changed their age minimum to 21 so I am looking at other alternatives. Can anyone recommend the Skip Barber "high performance" driving school? How does it compare to the P orsche two day schools?
Thanks in advance

Find another chapter of the PCA to drive with. Here in the Northeast, all PCA chapters my son (18) and I drive with are 18. For example, there are probably 3 or 4 chapters that all run at Lime Rock - so if one of the chapters had a rule you couldn't live with, you could run with another.
Head over to RennList and do a search on driving schools / driving events / DEs, etc. There have been lots of comparisons / contrasts between Skippy and PCA / BMWCCA / Etc. $200 a day for PCA with classroom instruction, in-car instruction, etc. is a good value.
My son learned an incredible amount in his 1st PCA DE in March and they moved him up to Yellow for his 2nd one in April. Between the DE Workshop held in late winter (to prepare people), his reading all of the PCA guides online (see PCA national and local chapters for PDF files - our CVR book is exceptional), watching some in-car video online with my describing what is going on, and having an excellent instructor - he did very well.

Well, i'm not sure if you are asking for the Drving Schools or the HPDE. As far as the DE events, they really aren't much of a school, though they do teach some basics before you get out in your car and hit 100+ mph.
Personally, I am looking for some sort of driving school where you get to drive someone else's street prepared car. I was looking through Bounderant and they allow you a drive in a Corvette Z06 and their little mini indy cars. Some Skip barbers have different choices of cars, so it really depends on where you go.

I did the 2 day Porsche Sports Driving School at Barber Motorsports Park in Birmingham. They will take 18 year olds and as a matter of fact on the 2nd day of AutoX a 18 year old was the fastest! The instructors and training at the Porsche school are top notch and the cars you drive are like new. Well worth the price.
I always recommend PDE @ Barber as the 1st step for anyone with no experience with aspirations to race. The instruction is top notch and the cars are very capable of giving a big smile to the driver without driving on it's edge.
I was also consider the driving schools at Road Atlanta (Audi) and Mid-Ohio (Acura). They are geared towards real life issues such as driving awareness; breaking on wet surfaces; proper positioning in the car; etc.

I have never been to a Porsche school but for my 17th birthday a while back I went to skip Barber at laguna seca and loved it. great experience and has most certainly made me a better driver.
