option advice & input please on my 1st Porsche!

OK, I’m getting close to placing my order for a 2008 Targa. I know, I know, most of you would not order a Targa, but that’s a discussion for another thread.
So here is what I have come up with. Let me know what you guys think.

Of course it will be a 4S, in Carrara White.
full leather
power seats
heated seats
floor mats in interior color
park assist
self dimming mirrors
sport chrono
sport exhaust
Navi
Bose
Sport Design wheels? (5mm spacers?) or Turbo wheels?
interior color black or Sea blue
storage compartment lid with “Targa” yes or no?
instrument dials in black? or standard
footrest in aluminum? or not
door entry guards in stainless steel? or not?
fire extinguisher?
phone? yes or no (with Verizon, no sim card) Bluetooth retrofit available?
steering wheel? thicker wheel, but which one? round type or triangle
center? and how about multi-function? Does anyone use it?
painted model designation? leave silver? or delete?

Your experienced input & opinion is appreciated,
Ron.

Options look good. What is the total MSRP of that bad larry. I would definitely get the triangle wheel option code CPA; it's my favorite option in my car.

Why most of us wouldn't buy it...
It's a fantastic car, expecially in Carrara White!
Options are sweet as well...I'd say black interiors...

Good choises. Keep the interior black.

Oh forgot you do not want a fire extinguisher. If the car catches on fire let it burn and get a new one. You don't want them repairing a half burnt car.

Aloha

options on targa

I got a misty green targa4s. wheels match the car. I would forgo the misty green, so dark it looks black. I would get the white with white wheels.
I would not speed so much on the steering wheel, navi, phone but would get the sports exhaust and the chrono (thus far I have not used the chrono). when it boils down to it I would get the turbo for a few thousand more. I do enjoy the hatch back on the targa but the cost is so close to the turbo, I would go for it.

I would add or change the following;
- Full leather, a must have.
- Sport seats or adaptive sport seats. I think they look better and feel great.
- If you tint you might not need the self dimming mirrors
- Interior color, I would choose black
- PCCB's if you don't like to clean your wheels every other day with the ferrous version
- Spacers have a subtle but nice look. Wish I had them.
- I would say no to the embossed "Targa" on the compartment lid but yes to the crests in the headrests.
- Standard instrument dials
- I have the stainless door entry, be careful not to scratch them when cleaning.
- The fire extinguisher is a good deal when compared to doing it post purchase
- I have the thicker sport steering wheel which I recommend but it's still too thin in my opinion. The standard is very thin. The thicker sport is the round center. My other car has steering wheel controls and it's a nice feature. If you can get the Multi with a thicker option, it would be a good option.
- I like the standard designation
- I would get the color crested wheel caps after purchase. Optioned they are $185. That is already full retail price. Not to mention you could probably get 10-15% off of them if you are a PCA member.
- If you do decide on the PCCB's, get the yellow seatbelts. It's a nice look.
- PSE is nice but pricey. I have it and love it.
- Short shifter. Have it, love it.

Of course, my opinion could vary from yours but hope this helps.

I second the Sport Shifter and thicker steering wheel......... have both and love them. (I've also got red belts with matching red stitching in the full-leather that off-sets the black interior nicely.........fwiw)
