997 Upcoming model revision of the 911 C2
Hello everyone, i am new to the forum, and just placed an order for an 08 C2, that is supposed to arrive in August and was just curious to know if anyone knows if the car is getting the facelift for 2008, and if in fact it is getting the horsepower boost? some of the dealers are saying yes, becasue they want you to order an '08 model, others are saying absolutely no changes because they want you to take an '07. I definately cant wait to see my car, but would at least love to know what i am getting. My dealer did mention some Navigation upgrades, and some new colors for leather, and the exterior. Would love to hear from you all..

2005, 6, 7, and probably 8, are essentually the same (appearance).......Frankfurt this fall will apparently show facelift. If that's true, it will not be in the showroom at the very same time.
Not to be too hard on your 1st post but........why would you order an 08 if you do not know what you are getting.....& whether facelift changes will be 08, 08.5, or 09?

Hey Gregg to be honest i ordered the '08 because i knew that i wanted to buy a c2 no matter what, the dealer told me that more than likely the facelift was in store for 08, almost all of the websites said '08 as well, i wasnt willing to wait another year to get the car, and was hoping for the update for the begining of '08. i even have a picture from the web that looks like an official porsche picture. does anyone know what changes we do have in store for '08?

I have a hard time thinking Porsche would let this happen to 08 sales. thinking we are missing something here......but maybe not, everything else is moving for them. They certainly can afford 08 997 sales to be off-pace.

So far I heard '08s no changes, yet some other sites and spy photos show otherwise.
I think it was smart to order '08 despite changes and possibility of getting an '07 now and discounted. Most '07 discounts don't match 1 MY depreciation so ordering an '08 is smart IMO.
'08 Production starts now because Porsche goes away for vacation in august so they are now producing '08s.
We need our spies over there...
