I picked up a proclip 'angle mount' for the 997 a couple days ago to attach a phone cradle. Long story short .. the thing doesn't really stay in place (not even a bit). The only way it will barely stick to the dash is with the double tape.

 

I drop my phone in the cup holder. Works for me.
